Miss World Megan Young

During the Miss world's question and answer portion, reacting to the huge Filipino crowd in the venue, by then Miss Philippines Megan Young jokingly said, "I brought half of my country here". Unknowingly she was already saying that she is The Queen for that was a task that only a queen with sovereign power can do.

With all the heartaches, corruption, man-made and natural calamities that the Filipinos are experiencing and going through, tears of joy; God pacifies our pain by giving us a reason to rejoice. "Salamat po (thank you)", she said right after she was crowned.

Some years ago in Olongapo City, I was in a passenger jeep going to SBMA (Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority) main gate, when I noticed a young lady who was sitting at the opposite side on the left corner close to the driver’s seat. (I was at the backseat right side near the entrance) She was extremely beautiful in her white dress that enhances her majestic detach aura. And she appeared to be in a trance meditating on something, oblivious of everything around her. As if she was alone in a different world or dimension. Any realized unclean spirit would surely think twice to even think of having a connection with her or of being near. But if she had noticed me, even a glance would have been enough to encourage me to pacify my curiosity, to ask her if she is an angel just to make sure that she is real.

But now I am convince that she is real, specially , when to the world she uttered these lines on world's issue: "I am pro life, I am against killing someone that is already there." "Sex is for marriage, that person who doesn't value you, doesn't value the relationship as much." These for me are words and stand of a strong woman that befits a queen.
“Being Miss World, you are basically a symbol of fundraising.
You are there to inspire people, to show them what’s going on in the world.” -M. Young
